An unlikely pairing in Calvin Klein’s Francisco Costa and Australian-based LIFEwithBIRD has thrust the label into the American spotlight with Costa hosting a private dinner in New York on their behalf and a metaphorical key to the city. What started as a chance meeting in Melbourne has turned into Fashion’s version of a fairytale, with Costa mentoring designers Nick Van Messner and Bridget McCall and attracting stockists in the calibre of SAKS and Neiman Marcus.
